Prices for future subscriptions will be at then prevailing rates.
Auto renewal ensures that our customers are always up-to-date with the most critical information and new developments in their fields as well as continuing to receive updates to our products without interruption of service.
By enrolling your product(s) in our Automatic Subscription Renewal Program, subscriptions automatically renew at the end of the term without any further action on your part, until you cancel your participation in the auto-renew program.
Should you decide for any reason that you no longer wish to be enrolled in the automatic renewal program, or you did not intend to enroll, you may cancel at any time. You can cancel by calling Customer Service at 1.800.638.3030 or emailing [email protected].
Under the Automatic Subscription Renewal Program, all subscriptions are renewed at one-year increments. If you want to be auto-renewed with a multi-year subscription, call Customer Service at 1.800.638.3030. You are not required to renew any minimum number of times.
The cost of the renewal will be the subscription price in effect at the time of each renewal including applicable sales tax and shipping and handling charges. Subscription renewal prices are subject to increase in the future.
Enrolling a subscription product under our automatic renewal program does not affect our cancellation policy. If you have any questions on our cancellation policy, please call Customer Service at 1.800.638.3030 or emailing [email protected].

Designed to help you hit the ground running and shine on your rotations, The Washington Manual® Internship Survival Guide, Sixth Edition, has been updated and refocused to help you prepare for your intern year with confidence. Edited by Dr. Erin Dyer, a former chief resident and now attending physician at Washington University School of Medicine, this easy-to-read primer provides need-to-know tips for navigating daily life on the wards, high-yield introductions to the most commonly encountered diagnoses, and guidance for handling some of the most challenging situations you’re likely to face as an intern, such as working nights or rotating through the ICU.
Provides a solid foundation of what you need to know before you start your residency, helping you gain confidence, feel more comfortable with even the trickiest challenges, and feel less overwhelmed
Covers key topics such as tips for navigating the logistical aspects of the hospital, common cross-cover calls and how to handle them, initial management of the “Top 10” inpatient diagnoses, “can’t-miss” diagnoses and emergencies for consultants, and basic concepts to be familiar with prior to rotating through the ICU
Includes new content on transitions to postacute care, inpatient management of substance use disorders, responsible use of technology such as point-of-care ultrasound and artificial intelligence, and much more
An ideal resource for rising internal medicine interns, as well as preliminary interns in other specialties, medical students rotating through inpatient medicine, and international medical graduates (IMGs)—anyone who would benefit from a practical, essential guide that bridges the gap between medical school and residency
