Overviews of experimental technologies, diagnostic strategies, and treatment approaches will be included in this series. In addition, the series will include cutting-edge reviews of the molecular basis of disease mechanisms and treatments, and will also include molecular cardiology, genetic variation, genomics, transcriptomics, pharmacogenomics, and proteomics, metabolomics and systems biology.
- Methods in Genetics and Clinical Interpretation: Reviews will bring insights from basic investigations into cardiovascular genetics and molecular biology into context for the clinician. This section would include discussion of genetics/genomics and other 'omics' tools; use of molecular biology tools such as genome browsers, bioinformatics, expression studies; design of pharmacogenetics studies; etc.
- Controversies in Cardiovascular Genetics: Controversial topics in cardiovascular genetics will be presented in this series. Opposite viewpoints will be presented in tandem, with rebuttal responses by both authors included.
